He has in-depth knowledge in commercial law, litigation and arbitration consisting of a wide range of civil and criminal litigation with specific interest in fraud and commercial malfeasance.

Colin founded Russell & Co. Solicitors which developed into a niche commercial and criminal litigation practice with emphasis on international work as well as personal injury and clinical negligence litigation.

He has extensive practical experience in application of fraud and financial legislation in UK under international protocols, both through casework and lobbying.

 

As a consultant, providing advice in corporate and public sector advisory, business development, mediation and litigation services, Colin also specializes in international agreements and oil/gas sector contracts and dispute resolution.

Ken Tshribi

Ken has considerable experience in the areas of corporate law, projects, banking, investments, international corporate transactions, mining law and compliance. Ken obtained his qualification as a Solicitor and Barrister-at-Law in 1984 in Ghana. He is also a Solicitor of England and Wales. Ken spent 13 years in the banking industry where he played key roles as in-house counsel advising on corporate legal matters, financial structuring and transactions, syndicated financing and investments.

 

In 1996, Ken moved to the mining industry and played pivotal roles with respect to cross-border transactions, projects, project finance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, stock exchange issues, dispute resolution and cross-border mining rights issues. Ken was Head of AngloGold Ashanti’s global compliance and ethics based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

He is a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics of the USA. He was previously involved in teaching of law and legal journal editing.

Eric Okyere Darko

Eric Okyere Darko, Esq., was educated in Ghana, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, with Honors, in 1991, and a Barrister-at-Law Degree from the Ghana School of Law in 1994. He then migrated to the United States where he received a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Long Island University, New York in 1998 and a Master’s Degree in Law and Letters (LL.M.) specializing in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham University School of Law, New York in 2001.

He is licensed to practice law in Ghana as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court since August 31, 1994, and was admitted to practice law in all the courts of the State of New York and all Immigration Courts in the United States in October, 2001.

 

Attorney Eric O. Darko has extensive litigation experience in immigration hearings throughout the United States. He also represents clients in the Supreme Courts of New York (the courts of first instance in New York State) in various legal matters including contested divorces, child/spousal support, contracts and insurance. He appears frequently in Family Court proceedings in New York.

In addition, Lawyer Darko has considerable international experience, working with the International Center for Transnational Justice (ICTJ) for almost five years, specializing in international human rights work. During his work at the ICTJ, he assisted the Ghana Truth and Reconciliation Commission in their work and final report as an expert, and his contribution was duly acknowledged in the final report produced by the Commission.

As a scholar at Fordham Law School, , Lawyer Darko helped to coordinate the Fordham University School of Law Crowley Program’s Ghana report on women inheritance rights titled “Promise Unfulfilled: Law, Culture and Women’s Inheritance Rights in Ghana published in 25 Fordham Int’l L.J. 259 (2001).

 

He also served as a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, Committee on International Human Rights, and participated in writing their Interrogation Report titled Human Rights Standards applicable to the United States’ Interrogation of Detainees and other publications of the Association during my tenure of 2002 to 2003.
